Dharma
Or well-adjusted samsarins?
There is a guy who writes a lot on Substack about Buddhism, is very pissed off, and wishes that everyone was in therapy.
His main gripe is about “gurus.” He is another in a long line of people who seem to wish to save Buddhism from Buddhists, and imagines he has the solution for Western Buddhists—involving an intellectual commitment to western psychology and the various therapeutic contortions it has gone through over the past 130 years.
He gives glowing assessments of professional training, and so on, which he imagines will protect students and teachers from unhealthy relationships and ignores the fact that various kinds of therapies have come and gone, and that there is very little or no hard science upon which many psychological theories and treatments are based, from Freud onward.
